A very interesting website, one can learn much about Bougainville from it. I shall check back in from time to time.

Hi,
I accidentaly came across the site and with great pleasure have been reading the comments and viewing the photos. I had the best time when I lived in Bougainville from early the 70's to after independence. I lived near the Kieta Sailing club and worked at Customs and Excise. I was married on Arovo Island to Keith Kellam, Bechtal and then Bougainville Copper Mine a a electrian. I shared a government accommodati house for single women with a wall seperatingh us from the boys next door - Nev Tavavner - Taxation. Once Married we lived above the shops in Kieta next door to Bill and his wife (earthe moving business). Once qualified for a company house we moved to Arawa. We were heavily involved in Kieta Sailing Club and Hash Hound group in Arawa. I recall a few people that other may know
Melody and Trevor Schulzts
The Odgens
Kay and Alan Cullam
Mary Putvinas and Peter Hickson
Anne and Mike Blackwell
Nev Tavaner
Tony Morris (Comptroller Customs and E$xcise)
Richard & Deanne Clark
Ray Crichton (Customs & Excise)

Hi,
Great site! Certainly has changed since I was there in the mid 80's as radio supervisor for PTC. Had a great time, lived down near Kieta Sailing club and spent many happy days/nights on Arovo and at Phantom's

Hi Great site.
I was there in 1985-87. Would love to go back and take a look. It was such a fantastic place. Lived on Millionaire's Row.
Would like to catch up with Winfred Horr, Dave and Glennis Gibbons or anyone else there at that time.
Cheers
David
